  • Hard Acrylic Night Guard: Full-coverage hard acrylic appliance with a flat occlusal plane — discourages clenching, distributes force evenly across the arch, and provides the most durable long-term protection. Best for moderate to heavy bruxers and patients with documented wear patterns
  • Soft Night Guard: Soft thermoplastic material — cushions the teeth, comfortable for mild bruxers, higher patient compliance in patients sensitive to hard appliances. Less durable than hard acrylic under heavy grinding forces

For mild to moderate bruxism, a dual-laminate (hard/soft) guard is often the best balance of protection and patient compliance. For heavy bruxers with significant wear facets, a full hard acrylic guard provides maximum protection and longevity.
